Euronext: Brussels approves takeover of Bolsa Italiana
(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext has confirmed that, under EU M&A regulations, it has been approved as a suitable buyer in its planned acquisition of Borsa Italiana Group.
"This approval further improves the certainty of execution of the Transaction, by satisfying an additional major condition for the completion of the Transaction", the pan-European stockmarket group said.
However, it remains subject to regulatory approvals in several jurisdictions and a declaration of non-objection by the Euronext college of regulators. Euronext plans to complete the deal in the first half of 2021.
