Gemalto: Thales further extends offer acceptance period
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto have confirmed that the acceptance period of Thales' bid on Gemalto has been extended again: it will end two weeks after the suspensive condition relating to regulatory authorisations has been met (or not).
This condition precedent will not be fulfilled until 15 August, with both groups having obtained only three of the 14 authorisations required so far (in China, Israel and Australia).
Thales and Gemalto are continuing to work actively with the competent authorities involved. As expected, the operation should be completed shortly after all regulatory authorisations have been obtained, which is expected by the end of 2018.
