Wolters Kluwer: investors unhappy with slower EPS in 2021

(CercleFinance.com) - The Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer announced Wednesday that it expects its earnings growth to slow down this year, a prospect that has led to the share falling by over 5% on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

The group's revenues - it offers professional information in legal, tax and scientific fields - edged up by 1% to 4.6 billion euros last year, representing organic growth of 2%.

Meanwhile, adjusted operating profit rose by 5% to over 1.1 billion euros.

For 2021 Wolters stated that it expects 2021 adjusted EPS to increase by around 5%, less than a 7% increase in the previous fiscal year.

At lunchtime, the share was down over 5%, underperforming the AEX index in Amsterdam, which is pretty flat.
