Wolters Kluwer: improves organic growth and margins in 2017

(CercleFinance.com) - Wolters Kluwer improved its organic growth, margins, and cash flow in 2017, with the Dutch publisher benefiting from its recent investments.

The company - that specialises in professional information and software solutions - said 2017 revenues were up 5% at constant currencies and up 3% organically.

Adjusted net income amounted to 668 million euros, from 618 million euros in 2016.

Looking ahead, Wolters said it expected to deliver solid organic growth, with further margin improvements in 2018.

Even so, first-half operating profit is expected to see only "modest improvement" due to the phasing of investments and savings, the firm said.

This remark did not prevent the shares from rising this morning on Euronext Amsterdam, however, with current gains of 3.1% at 41.6 euros.
