Unilever: to supply plant-based burger to Burger King
(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer goods giant Unilever on Tuesday said that it will partner with Burger King to launch a plant-based burger in Europe.
The company said that the Vegetarian Butcher, one of its brands, will work with the fast food giant to offer the "Rebel Whopper".
In the initial phase, the new plant-based burger will be launched in over 2,500 Burger King restaurants across 25 countries in Europe.
For the record, the Vegetarian Butcher products are already being sold in over 4,000 outlets in 17 countries.
