Airbus: A321neo tests 100% SAF flight
(CercleFinance.com) - An A321neo took off yesterday from Airbus' headquarters in Toulouse, France, with both its engines 100%-powered by unblended SAF, the company announced.
The aircraft is being closely monitored by a data collection aircraft to gather information on non-CO2 emissions and contrail creation.
The A321neo flights are the latest demonstration of the VOLCAN project, which stands for Flight with New Alternative Fuels.
