Airbus: Berenberg maintains buy rating, targets E150
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Berenberg renewed its buy rating on Airbus shares, with a target price of 150 euros, recommending investors look beyond the current market turmoil.
In a morning report, the broker acknowledges that there is a risk of an unpleasant surprise on the aircraft manufacturer's short-term deliveries, a concern it says is related to current supply difficulties.
However, the analyst believes that the issues of production, profitability and shareholder remuneration - all of which will be discussed at the group's investor meeting next week - are of far greater importance.
Berenberg says that the meeting should reassure the market about the company's strong fundamentals, leading the broker to view the share price's recent correction as a buy opportunity.
However, the share is currently down almost 3%, underperforming a negative market by almost 2%.
