Airbus: successful Zephyr stratospheric flight
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that its High Altitude Platform System (HAPS), the Zephyr S reached new heights during its summer 2021 flight test campaign, with two stratospheric flights lasting a total of 36 days.
The Zephyr reached an altitude of 23,000m, a record for drones of this category.
Capable of staying in the stratosphere for months at a time, the Zephyr will offer new sensing, identification and connection capabilities to commercial and military clients, Airbus said.
The share isn't really in orbit on this news though -0.3% at present, albeit slightly above the index in Paris.
