Airbus: final tests for Eutelsat Hotbird satellite
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Defence and Space announces that it has reached a key milestone in the manufacture of the first satellite designed on the new Eurostar Neo platform, with the successful integration of Eutelsat Hotbird 13F service and communication modules.
The Eutelsat Hotbird 13F satellite will now be able to begin the final series of tests in preparation for its launch, Airbus said.
With the new Eurostar Neo platform, the payload capacity can be significantly increased: Eutelsat Hotbird 13F and 13G will both have a power of 22 kW and a launch mass of 4500 kg.
