Airbus: collaboration with Australian Air Force
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that it has been selected by the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to develop and modernise the communication systems of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) A330 MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport) fleet.
The first phase will focus on the design and development of the new systems before delivery of a prototype, in phase 2, which will enable their use to be certified and validated. The modifications will then be rolled out to the rest of the fleet.
The objective of the upgrade is to provide an affordable solution which brings the fleet up to world class quality and capability standards and meets the latest interoperability requirements for the Australian Defence Force and its allies.
