Airbus: NATO orders another Airbus A330 MRTT
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that it has received an order from OCCAR - the European organisation in charge of managing cooperative armament programs - for the delivery of an A330 MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport).
The order follows Luxembourg's decision to maximise its participation in the Multinational Fleet Management (MMF) program, which now has nine aircraft.
This additional aircraft will provide greater availability of the MMF fleet, enabling other NATO countries to cover their air-to-air refuelling, strategic transport and medical evacuation needs.
