Airbus: signs agreement for UAM services in Singapore
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for urban air mobility (UAM) in Singapore.
The deal was signed at the 2020 Singapore Airshow on Wednesday.
The contract aims to bring UAM services and platforms to life in the urban environment of Singapore, aiming to improve industry productivity and enhance the country's regional connectivity.
Airbus and CAAS will collaborate to define and develop an initial UAM service with an unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The parties will work together to complete the Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) system and services.
