Airbus: maiden flight for VSR700 prototype
(CercleFinance.com) - The prototype of the VSR700, the vertical take-off drone system developed by Airbus Helicopters, has carried out its first flight at the drone centre of Aix-en-Provence, in southern France.
The VSR700, derived from Hélicoptères Guimbal's Cabri G2, is an air drone system with a maximum takeoff mass of 500 kg to 1000 kg.
The VSR700 is a complete drone system that draws on Airbus Helicopters' technological expertise and extensive experience in the field of autopilot systems to provide new capabilities to armed forces, the group said.
