Airbus: British Airways is delivered its first A350-1000
(CercleFinance.com) - British Airways (BA) has received its first A350-1000 at the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, making it the largest operator of the largest A350-1000 of the International Airlines Group (IAG).
In all, British Airways has ordered 18 A350-1000s. Iberia, which is also part of IAG, already operates five A350-900s.
British Airways will launch the Suite Club, British Airways' first new business class seat for 13 years.
The airline will first use the plane for flights from London to Madrid, before making long-haul flights as from September.
British Airways operates a fleet of over 150 Airbus aircraft from the smallest A318 to the largest A380.
