Airbus: Aer Lingus receives first A321LR
(CercleFinance.com) - Irish airline Aer Lingus has received the first of eight A321LR aircraft, becoming the first airline of International Airlines Group (IAG) to operate this aircraft type.
The aircraft rented by Air Lease Corporation is powered by Leap CFM engines and is configured in two classes with 16 business seats and 168 economy class seats.
The Dublin-based airline will fly on transatlantic routes to the east coast of the United States.
Aer Lingus currently operates a total of 50 Airbus aircraft, including 13 A330s and 37 A320 family aircraft.
The A321LR belongs to the A320neo family, and has received over 6,600 orders from more than 100 clients.
