Airbus: 389 civil aircraft delivered in first half-year
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group, the European aircraft manufacturer has delivered 389 civil aircraft in the first six months of the year 2019, surpassing its American competitor Boeing by 150 units.
These deliveries are mainly composed of medium-haul aircraft from the A320 series, totalling 315 units. Long-haul units totalled 17 A330s, 53 A350s and four A380s.
In the first half of the year, Airbus also took 213 orders but after 125 cancellations, net orders come to 88 units. At the end of June, Airbus' order book for civil craft contained 7,276 entries.
At Boeing, the civil order book shrank (in net data) by 119 units over the period, of which -180 for the 737. This culminates in an order book containing 5,515 entries.
