Airbus: delivers first A330-900 to Air Mauritius

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that Air Mauritius has received its first A330-900, operated under a leasing agreement with ALC.


The national airline of the Republic of Mauritius is the first operator of the A330neo based in the Southern hemisphere and the first company in the world to operate both the A330neo and the A350 XWB.

This aircraft will be equipped with a cabin with a two-class configuration, with 28 seats in business class and 260 seats in economy class.

The airline will deploy this aircraft on routes connecting Mauritius to Europe (mainly London and Geneva), along with routes to India and Southeast Asia and regional destinations, including Johannesburg, Antananarivo and La Réunion Island.

Air Mauritius currently flies 9 Airbus planes (two A350-900, three A340-300, two A330-200 and two A319) on regional and long-haul flights.
