Airbus: Uganda Airlines confirms order for two A330neo
(CercleFinance.com) - Uganda Airlines, the Ugandan national airline, has confirmed its order for two A330-800 planes.
"Fitted with the new Airspace by Airbus cabin, the A330neo will bring a range of benefits to Uganda Airlines and its customers" Airbus said. Uganda Airlines intends to use A330-800 for its medium- and long-haul network.
The A330neo family includes two versions: the A330-800 and the A330-900. These aircraft reduce fuel consumption by approximately 25% compared to previous-generation competitors, having a range of up to an additional 1500 nm compared to most A330s in operation. The A330neo are equipped with the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and a new wing with increased span and new A350 XWB-inspired Sharklets.
The cabin provides the comfort of the new Airspace amenities, including state-of-the-art passenger inflight entertainment and Wifi connectivity systems.
