Airbus: signs agreement for 300 planes for China
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus and China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) have signed a general agreement for the purchase of a total of 300 Airbus aircraft by Chinese airlines.
This agreement was signed in Paris by Guillaume Faury, chairman of Airbus Commercial Aircraft and future CEO of Airbus and Jia Baojun, the Chairman of CAS, in the presence of the Chinese President Xi Jinping on an official visit and the French President Emmanuel Macron.
It covers 290 aircraft of the A320 family and 10 aircraft of the A350 XWB family.
At the end of January 2019, the Airbus fleet operated by Chinese airlines had some 1,730 aircraft, including 1,455 aircraft of the A320 family and 17 aircraft of the A350 XWB family.
