Airbus: certifications for A319neo with CFM Leap-1A
(CercleFinance.com) - The A319neo plane, equipped with CFM International's LEAP-1A engines has been certified by the FAA aircraft airworthiness authorities of the United States and the EASA in Europe.
This means that the three aircraft models (A319neo, A320neo and A321neo) are now certified by the international authorities to operate with the CFM LEAP-1A engine option.
This followed a series of in-flight certification tests, totalling over 500 hours since last March.
The NEO family is the most sold single-aisle aircraft in the world, with over 6,200 orders made by over 100 clients since its launch, representing about 60% of the market.
