Airbus: easyJet orders 17 additional A320neo

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced that easyJet has ordered another 17 A320neo aircraft.

This brings his combined order for the NEO to 147 (including 30 A321neo). easyJet has ordered 468 aircraft from the A320 family.

"This repeat order cements easyJet's position as the largest European operator of our leading A320 family," said Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.

The aircraft are equipped with 186 seats in a unique class configuration and powered by Leap CFM engines.

easyJet currently operates a fleet of 316 aircraft from the A320 family, including 17 A320neo and 3 A321neo, making it the largest Airbus single-aisle aircraft operator in the world. easyJet goes to over 130 European airports in 31 countries, on more than 1,000 routes.

The A320neo family is the world's best-selling single-aisle aircraft, with over 6,200 orders made by more than 100 customers since its launch in 2010.
