Airbus: Delta Air Lines orders another ten Airbus A330-900
(CercleFinance.com) - Delta Air Lines has ordered ten Airbus A330-900 aircraft, thereby increasing its order of A330neo from 25 to 35.
Delta and Airbus have also agreed to defer ten A350 xwb, which were previously ordered for 2025-26, to adapt to the company's long-term growth strategy. Delta currently operates 11 A350-900 and is waiting for another four in 2019-2020. The A330 fleet of Delta now has 42 widebody aircraft.
“Operational efficiency and an exceptional passenger experience are core to Delta's successful recipe, and it speaks volumes that they have chosen the A330-900,” said Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
