Airbus: delivers first A320neo to Flynas
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that the low-cost Saudi Arabian airline Flynas, has received the first of its 80 A320neo family aircraft as part of the contract it signed in January 2017, which provides for deliveries from 2018 to 2026.
Flynas is the first Saudi operator to acquire the A320neo. This aircraft, which is equipped with CFM's LEAP-1A engines, will support its expansion plans while providing increased operational efficiency and passenger comfort.
Saudi Arabia is the largest single domestic aviation market in the Middle East. Last year, Flynas transported over 6.4 million passengers and has flown more than three million passengers over the first half of 2018.
