Airbus: A400M deployed for emergency relief in Indonesia
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group today announces that its foundation is working with the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the Indonesian government to support humanitarian relief efforts in Palu, Indonesia, including the deployment of an A400M and the distribution of emergency supplies.
The A400M has provided relief supplies (fuel, food, drink, clothing, medical equipment and the like) to the teams in Palu to help the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the city on 28 September .
The earthquake and tsunami that followed killed over 1,400 people. 5,000 people are still missing and a further 200,000 people need emergency care.
