Airbus: Guillaume Faury to succeed Tom Enders

(CercleFinance.com) - As expected, last night Airbus announced that its board of directors had appointed Frenchman Guillaume Faury, who is currently head of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft division, as the successor to the German Tom Enders, as the group's new CEO.

He will take office after the AGM scheduled for 10 April 2019.

The appointment of Mr Faury as an executive member of the Board of Directors will then be submitted to the European aircraft manufacturer's shareholders.

Between 1998 and 2008, Mr Faury held senior management positions at Eurocopter, the Helicopter Division, before moving to Peugeot in 2009, where he was Executive Vice President in charge of R&D. He returned to Airbus in 2013 to head the Helicopter Division, before being appointed head of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, the main civil aircraft division, in early 2018.
