Airbus: maiden flight for ANA's AA380

(CercleFinance.com) - The first A380 for All Nippon Airways (ANA) flew today, making an inaugural flight between the final assembly line (FAL) in Toulouse and the Airbus site in Hamburg, Germany.

The aircraft is now being prepared for the installation of the cabin and the completion of the airline's special paint.

ANA placed a firm order for three A380s in 2016, hence becoming the first of the superjumbo's clients in Japan. The first delivery is scheduled for early 2019. The A380 will fly on the Tokyo-Honolulu route.

To date, Airbus has delivered 229 A380s, with the aircraft now being used by 14 airlines worldwide.
