Airbus: adjusted EBIT doubles in 1st half year
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus publishes an EPS more than halved to 0.
64 euros for the first six months of 2018, but doubled adjusted EBIT (1,162 million euros), in particular with the improvement of the A350 programme, as well as the transition and rhythm acceleration of the A320neo.
The aircraft manufacturer's turnover is stable (-1%) at 25 billion euros, reflecting the mix of commercial plane deliveries, changes in scope and a fall in the dollar. It recorded 206 net orders for commercial planes.
For the whole of 2018, Airbus anticipates delivering approximately 800 commercial planes, excluding the A220 family. Before mergers and acquisitions, it anticipates adjusted EBIT of approximately 5.2 billion euros (approximately five billion including the A220).
