Airbus: signs a contract for 55 helicopters with the Ukraine
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Helicopters has signed a contract with the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the acquisition of 55 civil helicopters for research and rescue, public services and medical emergencies.
The 55 units include 21 H225 and 10 H145, as well as 24 new H125. The contract also provides for the creation of a local training and maintenance centre. The first H225 helicopters should be delivered to Kiev before the end of 2018.
The H125 is a light single-engine helicopter with high levels of performance, exceptional manoeuvrability, excellent visibility and low vibration levels in the cabin. The aircraft can be rapidly and easily configured for a diverse range of tasks, including aerial work, firefighting, law enforcement, search and rescue, and passenger transport.
