Airbus: inaugurates fourth A320 production line in Hamburg
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced that it has inaugurated the A320 family's fourth production line in Hamburg, which is central to ensuring the ramp-up of the single-aisle program, with it set to reach 60 aircraft per month by mid-2019.
“The inauguration of our latest, most modern A320 production line opens a new chapter in efficient, digital aircraft manufacturing,” said Guillaume Faury, head of Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
In addition to this new line, Airbus also inaugurated a modernised and expanded delivery centre in Hamburg, which is dedicated to the A320 family, and has more customer-only spaces, more efficient delivery processes and improved reception services.
