Airbus: 111 net new orders from January to May
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced developments in its civil aircraft order book to the end of May.
Last month, the European aircraft manufacturer placed 16 orders of long-haul A350 and A330 and nine medium-haul A320. At the same time, it delivered 51 aircraft, including 41 from the A320 family including (22 "neo").
From January to May, Airbus recorded 161 gross orders which, minus 50 cancellations (including 22 A350s and 6 A380s), totaling 111 net orders.
At the end of the period, Airbus Commercial's order book had 7,153 entries, which represents about nine years of activity at current production rates.
