Airbus: Lufthansa orders 6 A320neo and 3 A320ceo
(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa has confirmed the order of six additional A320neo and three A320ceo planes.
This contract brings the group's total orders to 122 for the A320neo (77 A320neo and 45 A321neo).
The agreement for the three extra A320ceo, brings total orders of the A320ceo to 273. With a total of 395 A320s ordered, the Lufthansa Group is also the largest buyer of the Airbus A320, with nearly 400 aircraft of A320 family in service.
The A320neo family incorporates the latest technologies, including new generation engines and Sharklets, which currently generate at least 15% in fuel savings, a level that is set to increase to 20% by 2020.
