Airbus: difficulties expected in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - There were industrial difficulties in Airbus Group's quarterly accounts, arising from the shortage of reactors and the increase in production rates.
However, these trends were expected and the European aircraft manufacturer has confirmed its forecasts.

Performance in Q1 reflects the shortage of the engines for the A320neo and the at year-end's acceleration in aircraft deliveries, as we mentioned on the publication of the annual results, said group chairman, Tom Enders.

In Q1 2018, the European aircraft manufacturer's sales declined 12% to 10.1 billion euros, which included 121 commercial aircraft deliveries (-15 units compared to Q1 2017), the worst quarter since 2011, according to an analyst. However, sales slightly exceeded expectations, found slightly below 10 billion euros.
