Airbus: an A320neo for Bhutan

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group announced this morning that Drukair, Bhutan's airline, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of an A320neo medium-haul aircraft.


The terms of the deal were not specified.

This aircraft, which will add to a fleet of three A319s, will be equipped with CFM Leap-1A26E1 engines that are specially designed to operate at high altitude.

The aircraft will be operated by Drukair from Bhutan International Airport located in Paro, which is at an altitude of 7,300 metres, surrounded by high mountains.
