Airbus: Primera Air receives first A321neo

(CercleFinance.com) - Primera Air has received its first Airbus A321neo in Hamburg.


The plane, which was assembled in Hamburg, is the first of the three A321neo leased to GECAS in 2018. Primera Air will also lease five other A321neos to other lessors, including two A321LR, bringing its fleet to eight aircraft in 2018.

The plane, powered by CFM Leap-1 engines, has two classes, with 16 premium seats and 182 economy class seats. The aircraft will be deployed in the UK and France on transatlantic destinations to North America.

Integrating the latest engines, aerodynamic advances and cabin innovations, the A321neo currently offers at least a 15% reduction in fuel per seat and 20% by 2020.
