Airbus: SAS group orders 35 A320neo
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced SAS Group's signature of a firm order of 35 A320neo.
SAS will also lease another fifteen A320neo to aircraft leasing companies.
These new A320neos will join the airline's existing Airbus fleet of 56 aircraft (eight A340s, eight A330s and 40 aircraft from the A320 family). The airline will announce its engine choice at a later date. SAS has been one of Airbus' clients since 1980.
"Ordering 50 Airbus A320neos gives us access to the market's most efficient aircraft thereby enabling us to further improve our operational efficiency and to continue to reduce our climate-impacting emissions," says Rickard Gustafson, Chairman and CEO of SAS.
