Airbus: 16 more helicopters for the US Army
(CercleFinance.com) - This morning Airbus announced the order of another 16 UH-72A Lakota helicopters by the US Army.
The transaction is worth about 116 million dollars, i.e. just under 100 million euros.
This is the second order of its kind received this year by Airbus Helicopters.
Equipped with a dual-turbine engine, the UH-72A is a multi-purpose helicopter that is capable of transporting troops, light equipment, medical evacuation, transport and VIP flights, etc.
The Airbus site in Columbus, Mississippi, has delivered over 423 UH-72A Lakota since the award of the first contract in 2005.
