Airbus: successor of Tom Enders named at end-2018

(CercleFinance.com) - Last night Airbus provided details of the future evolution of its governance, which the European aircraft manufacturer intends to conduct in an "orderly" way.

Tom Enders' successor is set to be appointed at the end of the year.
With its executive chairman, Tom Enders, leaving the group, Airbus has announced that a successor will be appointed by the board of directors (considering both internal and external candidates) at the end of 2018. This appointment will then be submitted to the group's AGM of 2019.
By then, Tom Enders will continue to lead the group and steer developments in its management team.

"After the successive departures of Marwan Lahoud (strategy), Fabrice Brégier (head of civil aircraft), John Leahy (sales) and Paul Eremenko (technology), Tom Enders will be the last to leave the boat, said an analyst in Paris this morning. He added that a French person is expected to be appointed this time round, with the names of Alexandre de Juniac (formerly Air France-KLM), Thierry Breton (Atos) and Patrice Caine (Thales) having featured in the press for months now.
