Airbus: delivers first A350-1000 wide body aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced that it has delivered its first A350-1000 wide-body aircraft to its first client Qatar Airways, which is also the main buyer of the A350 XWB family worldwide, with a backlog of 76 aircraft, as well as the main buyer of the A350-1000.
The aircraft delivered today is the first of the 37 A350-1000s that have been ordered by the Qatari airline, and the very first of the Airbus aircraft that are equipped with Qsuite seats, which for the first time offer double beds in business class.
The A350-1000, the latest of Airbus' wide-body planes, offers a greater capacity than existing single-aisle aircraft. Space available on board for premium cabin is 40% higher than that of the A350-900.
