Airbus: A380 contract signed with Emirates
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group has announced having finalised a MoU that was previously prepared with Emirates, and signing a contract for 20 additional A380, along with 16 options which will be confirmed later.
This order of 36 aircraft was signed at the World Summit of Governments, is estimated at 16 billion dollars according to the latest catalogue prices. Deliveries are expected to start by 2020.
Airbus said that now over 200 million passengers have already benefited from the unique flight experience onboard the A380. To date, 222 A380s have been delivered to 13 companies.
