Airbus: books twenty A320 orders in January

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has begun the year 2018 with 20 aircraft orders in January from the A320 family, bringing the total number of orders for this aircraft to 14,135.

The group has delivered 27 aircraft, meaning a total of almost 11,000 deliveries since its creation.

Orders in January include the orders of 15 A320neo airliners for China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) and five A320ceo versions for Spirit Airlines.

At the end of January, the number of orders recorded over the last four decades amounted to 18,206 aircraft. This figure includes 14,135 aircraft from the A320 Family, including 6,005 for the A319, A320 and A321 NEO.

In January, Airbus delivered its customers 21 airliners from the A320 Family (bringing global deliveries to 8,000), as well as two A330-300s and four A350-900s.

At the end of the month, the total order book amounted to 7,253, or about nine years of production.
