Airbus: could pay 70-80 million euros in Eurofighter case
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group has announced an award of 104 million euros in a trade dispute between Matra Défense SAS (company acquired by one of Airbus' French predecessors in 1998) and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Furthermore, the European aircraft manufacturer confirmed that it is in discussions with the legal authorities of Munich for a potential halt to an investigation into a sale of Eurofighter aircraft to the Republic of Austria.
In the Austrian Eurofighter case, Airbus may have to pay a penalty of 70 million to 80 million euros according to Süddeutsche Zeitung, analysts at Aurel BGC report.
