Airbus: new record deliveries in 2017
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Group has announced that its deliveries of Airbus Commercial Aircraft in 2017 have increased for the fifteenth consecutive year, reaching a new record of 718 aircraft delivered to 85 clients, against 688 aircraft delivered in 2016.
Last year total deliveries include 558 A320 single-aisle aircraft of the A320 family (including 181 A320neo - up 166% relative to 2016), 67 A330s, 78 A350 XWBs (almost 60% more than in 2016), and 15 A380s.
In addition, the aircraft manufacturer registered over 1,109 new orders placed by 44 clients. At the end of 2017, Airbus' total backlog included 7,265 aircraft, worth 1,059 billion dollars at list prices.
