Airbus: signs agreements to develop Tianjin plant

(CercleFinance.com) - Alongside Emmanuel Macron's official visit to China, Airbus has announced signing a memorandum of understanding with the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC) for further development of industrial cooperation in Tianjin.

At the same time, the European aircraft manufacturer and its Chinese partners have signed a framework agreement to increase the production rate of the A320 at its Tianjin assembly line, bringing it to six aircraft per month by early 2020.

Since its inauguration in 2008 and until the end of 2017, this production line assembled a total of 354 A320 aircraft. The total value of industrial cooperation between Airbus and China's aerospace industry was nearly 600 million dollars in 2017.
