STMicro: finalises share buyback plan.
(CercleFinance.com) - STMicroelectronics has announced concluding a share repurchase program of about 18.
6 million shares for a total of 297 million dollars as part of its share buyback program announced on 22 June.
The shares were bought back between 30 June 30 and 4 August on the Mercato Telematico Azionario and other places in open market transactions for a total of 297 million dollars.
The repurchased shares will be kept and used to meet the obligations related to the financial instruments of debt that is convertible into shares, and to cover plans for share awards to employees.
