Unilever: acquires US brand the Laundress
(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever has announced the acquisition of the US brand of detergents and cleaning products The Laundress.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant insists on its upmarket and environmentally friendly positioning of The Laundress' 85 products, a brand that was created in 2004.
The Laundress will continue to be run by its co-founders from New York, where it has its flagship store in the Soho district.
