Heineken: appoints Unilever's operating chief to its board
(CercleFinance.com) - Heineken has appointed Nitin Paranjpe, Unilever's COO, to its supervisory board, in a move that comes as the Dutch brewer seeks to strengthen its expertise in consumer goods and Asian markets.
Paranjpe, an Indian national, has been chief operating officer of Unilever since May 2019, contributing to the Anglo-Dutch giant's recent string of acquisitions that have reshaped its portfolio.
Prior to becoming COO, he led Unilever's global food and refreshment unit, as well as its global homecare division.
Heineken said the executive will add his experience in the consumer goods industry and emerging markets.
Nitin Paranjpe will be appointed as member of the supervisory board at the company's annual general meeting in 2021 for a four-year term, succeeding Christophe Navarre, who will reach his maximum tenure next year.
