Heineken: buys minority stake in London craft beer
(CercleFinance.com) - Heineken has bought a minority stake in Beavertown, a move that will give the British craft beermaker 40 million pounds (55 million dollars) of funding to build an "ambitious" state-of-the-art brewing facility in London.
The so-called "Beaverworld" project will represent the pinnacle of brewing and visitor experience in the UK, Beavertown said.
The 450,000 hectolitres is a 10-fold increase on its current brewing capacity.
When operational in 2019, the plant will create up to 150 new jobs.
