KPN: quarterly results frowned on
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Dutch telecom operator KPN reported quarterly Ebitda after leases that is slightly above expectations, with the group confirming its FY targets.
KPN announced Q2 adjusted Ebitda after Leases that is down 1.5% at 585 million euros.
In comparison, analysts expected 576 million euros.
In a statement, KPN argues that the Covid-19 pandemic only had a limited impact on its accounts, of 5 to 7 million euros on its interim earnings, with the decline in roaming income being offset by increased domestic traffic.
The share was down over 3%, largely underperforming the STOXX Europe 600 Telecommunications index.
