Degiro: executes over 5 million transactions in France YTD
(CercleFinance.com) - Degiro has announced that it has become the leading online broker in France in terms of the number of transactions executed on regulated markets, based on published data.
It has achieved this performance just 6 years after its launch in France.
As the leader in the Netherlands and Austria for several years, France is now the third country in which flatexDegiro has become number 1 in terms of transaction numbers, based on published data, the group said.
Degiro France has executed over 5 million transactions since the beginning of 2020, and has increased its French customer base by almost 100% with several tens of thousands of new securities accounts opened.
At the group level, flatexDegiro has executed 54 million transactions for almost 1,200,000 clients in the first three quarters of 2020 and is the European leader in online brokerage for individual investors.
flatexDegiro aims to acquire at least 1% of the eligible European population by 2025, representing more than 3 million people.
