ArcelorMittal: EU clears acquisition of Condesa Tubos
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of sole control of Condesa Tubos (Spain) by ArcelorMittal Aceralia Basque (Spain), controlled by ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg).
Condesa is a manufacturer of different types of small welded carbon steel tubes and operates three sites in Spain and one site in Germany.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns, given that ArcelorMittal already has joint control over Condesa and that the companies' combined market shares are moderate.
